Description

Authentic/Broadway Jazz
This high energy class will introduce students ages 10-14 to the technical elements and performance aspects of Broadway Jazz. Students will explore productions like Newsies, An American In Paris, and La La Land through combos and choreography. We will reach into the Authentic Jazz period of 1920s-1940s alongside modern Broadway Jazz styles.

Abbie Van Horn

I have been dancing for the Lord for 17 years, my background being generally ballet, jazz and contemporary. I have done musical theater for around 10 years off and on, and I love to discover how we can create because we were made in the image of a creative God. I am currently a choreographer for Fidele Youth Dance Company, and a performer with Messengerz Dance Company. My favorite chapter in the Bible is John 17!
