 "How Far I'll Go" - Discover Your Expression Through Song and Dance

Embark on a fun, expressive journey in "How Far I'll Go", a high-energy theatrical class inspired by Disney’s Moana! Through vibrant Polynesian choreography and powerful vocals, students will discover their unique voices while learning to tell stories through dance and song.

Students will explore graceful movements and energetic steps that capture the spirit of adventure, while mastering vocal techniques and harmonies to sing iconic songs like "How Far I'll Go." This class encourages confidence, creativity, and teamwork, all while building skills in performance and self-expression.

By the end of the term, students will leave with greater confidence in their abilities and a deeper connection to their inner performer. Ready to set sail? Let the adventure begin!

Zach Guzman

Zach Guzman has been tapping for over 25 years, with extensive experience in musical theater. His stage credits include lead roles in White Christmas, The Wizard of Oz, 1940s Radio Hour, 9 to 5, and Oklahoma, and he's also choreographed for productions like Shrek and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Zach has performed internationally with Norwegian Cruise Lines and Jean Ann Ryan Productions. He’s excited to return to CYT, where he can blend his dance skills and musical theater experience to bring a Moana-inspired class to life for his students.

Heidi Guzman

Heidi is an enthusiastic performer and theatre lover, with a passion for acting and singing that’s been a part of her life from the very beginning. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance, Heidi's diverse training spans directing, stage management, Shakespeare, voice acting, and the intricacies of costumes, props, and set design. She has a special place in her heart for Children's Theatre, where her most recent role was as the Traveler in *The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane*. When she’s not on stage, Heidi is busy homeschooling her three daughters and working as a nurse and neurofeedback clinician at her family’s mental health clinic. Her ultimate goal in theatre is to inspire and uplift young people, equipping them with positive messages and valuable skills to help them reach their full potential.
